UPPER MICHIGAN – Today is the 50th anniversary of the singing of the Edmund Fitzgerald.  The Great Lakes carrier was sailing from Superior, Wisconsin, to Detroit with a load of iron ore pellets when it sank during a severe storm on Nov. 10, 1975. All 29 men aboard were killed.
