WAKEFIELD - Starting Tomorrow, drivers who use the US-2/M-28-Sunday Lake Street intersection in Wakefield can expect to see a change in the traffic pattern as part of the continued evaluation of the traffic in that area. On Thursday at around noon, the intersection will become a four-way stop. The traffic signal at US-2 and M-28 will flash red for all directions and stop signs with advance warnings will be in place. Motorists are encouraged to be aware of the change and exercise caution. The study of that intersection is scheduled to be finished in November, and the data obtained will determine whether a traffic signal is needed for that intersection, which would then be included in the US-2 rebuild project slated for that area.
