IRONWOOD - The Ironwood City Commission is seeking new proposals for multi-family housing development at the former Wells Fargo property in downtown Ironwood.  Cinnaire Solutions, a Lansing-based company, withdrew its option to purchase the 1.32-acre site. For the past two years, the city had been working with Cinnaire Solutions to develop an apartment complex. However, according to Tom Bergman, the city’s community development director, Cinnaire was unsuccessful in securing funding through the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Program of the Michigan State Housing Development Authority. Bergman stated that requesting new proposals is “currently the best path forward for the city as it moves forward with the implementation of its Housing Action Plan to create more housing opportunities in Ironwood.”
