HURLEY - Around 10:30 a.m. Friday Hurley School went into a Code Yellow Lock-Down due to a called in threat.  Many officers from the Hurley Police Department and the Iron County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the school and thoroughly inspected the school and found the threat not credible.   All classes resumed a little more than an hour later with additional safeguards in place as an added precaution.  A threat was called into the Florence School District in Northeast Wisconsin at around the same time Friday along with other schools throughout the state of Wisconsin receiving similar threats.  The FBI is actively investigating the Florence School incident.
