N. WISC / UP – This week is National Fire Prevention Awareness week.  It’s a good time to check fire safety equipment in your home such as fire extinguishers, carbon monoxide detectors and chimneys.  Fire Prevention Week was started by the National Fire Protection Association in 1922 in commemoration of the great Chicago Fire that occurred in 1871.
