ONTONGAON COUNTY - A multi-vehicle accident in Ontonagon County on Monday resulted in the death of a Wisconsin man. The Ontonagon County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies responded to the scene on U.S. 45 north of Gauthier Road in Stannard Township around 11:30 a.m. The crash was fatal for one individual, identified as 24-year-old Andrew Bjork of Hudson, Wisconsin. Another person was transported to the hospital for treatment. The cause of the accident remains under investigation. Agencies assisting the Sheriff’s Office at the scene included Michigan State Police from the Wakefield Post, an MSP Accident Investigator and an Accident Reconstructionist, SONCO South and North Ambulances, the Bruce Crossing Fire Department, the Rockland Fire Department, and Lake Gogebic Towing.
