IRONWOOD - The Gogebic-Iron County Airport Board at its organizational meeting elected Pete Matonich as chairman, Pat Hanson, vice president, and James Lorenson as recording secretary. Monthly meetings were set for the second Monday of each month at 3:30 p.m. The board reviewed flight schedules and feedback, prioritizing affordable, reasonably timed connecting flights, but rejected specific schedule changes. Administrative secretary Kristi Freeman reported Mead & Hunt requested a meeting to begin the airport layout plan using survey data. Manager Jeremy Busch reported minor snowplow repairs and the anticipated early February arrival of additional snow removal vehicles.
