WAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP – One dead after an early morning house fire in Wakefield Township early yesterday morning.  The call to Kronberg Road came in just before 5:30am when Wakefield fire crews arrived, they found one resident outside who provided a general location of another resident trapped inside.  Attempts to rescue that individual was made but unsuccessful due to smoke and flames.  Firefighters subsequently gained entry equipped with self-contained breathing apparatus equipment and were able to locate the victim in a bedroom.  That individual was pronounced dead at the scene.  The incident remains under investigation; no names have been released.
