MICHIGAN - Multiple K-12 schools across Michigan received identical, computer-generated voicemail threats claiming explosive devices were planted and warning that tampering with them would result in a school shooting. Schools in Gogebic, including the Bessemer School District, Gratiot, Lake, Saginaw, and St. Clair counties were affected. The Michigan Intelligence Operations Center (MIOC) and the OK2SAY program believe these are likely hoaxes, similar to 2023 calls, designed to provoke a law enforcement response. Affected schools were advised to contact local law enforcement and the MIOC Suspicious Activity Reporting. Suspicious activity can be reports at app.kaseware.us.
