IRONWOOD – Gas prices spiked briefly in Ironwood over the last week before settling below $3 and triple A says drivers could see even lower price.  Michigan drivers are now paying an average of $3.03 per gallon for regular unleaded gas. That price is 2 cents less than this time last month but still 8 cents more than this time last year. Meantime, the national average sits 4 cents higher than the state, at $3.07 per gallon.  Around the U.P., the lowest average is in Menominee County at $2.88 per gallon and the city of Ironwood at $2.89.   The highest is in Mackinac County at $3.32 per gallon.
