BAYFIELD - One of Bayfield’s largest events of the year sold out next year’s event in only eight hours.  The annual Point to La Pointe Open Water Swim has racers swim from mainland Bayfield to La Pointe on Madeline Island.  650 swimmers from across the globe signed up for next year’s 2.1-mile race. It’s set to take place Aug. 2, 2025.  The event is hosted by the Bayfield Rec Center, it’s their largest fundraiser of the year.
