N. WISCONSIN - With older voters expected to make a big impact on the midterm elections, their allies in Wisconsin say lawmakers should pay attention to the most pressing issues facing voters 50 and older. Affordability tops the list of those concerns, along with retirement security and caregiving support for older residents, according to A-A-R-P Wisconsin. State Director Raj Shukla says their 750-thousand plus members want people in power to put words into action regarding these quality-of-life issues.

He says older Wisconsinites are also increasingly targeted by sophisticated fraud — an issue he argues affects people of every age. Wisconsin residents age 45-64 made up the largest percentage of voters in 2024, followed by those older than 65.
