UPPER MICHIGAN - Michigan has selected its 2026 state Christmas tree — a 60-foot spruce from Iron Mountain, donated by the Larry Riccio family. The tree will be harvested November fifth and arrive at the state Capitol in Lansing on November seventh. It’s the second state Christmas tree from Iron Mountain and the 26th from the U-P since the tradition began in 1987. The tree-lighting ceremony is November 20 during Lansing’s Silver Bells in the City celebration.
