IRONWOOD – After dipping below $3 a gallon last week Michigan drivers are seeing higher gas prices at the pump this week.  The state gas price average is up 12 cents from a week ago.  According to AAA of Michigan, drivers across the state are now paying an average of $3.38 per gallon for regular unleaded gas. This price is 9 cents less than this time last month and 30 cents less than this time last year. The national average now sits 11 cents lower than the state, at $3.21 per gallon.  Around the Upper Peninsula, the lowest average is in Ironwood at $3.07 per gallon. The highest is in Mackinac County at $3.80 per gallon.
