GOGEBIC COUNTY - Gogebic County 911 calls, which have been handled by the Michigan State Police Negaunee Regional Dispatch Center, will soon be handled by Dickinson County. The Dickinson County Board of Commissioners on Monday approved the use of its dispatch center as the primary Public Safety Answering Point for Gogebic County. Gogebic County awarded the contract to Dickinson County in February, and Monday’s action completes the steps needed to begin taking calls October first.
