N. WISCONSIN - Wisconsin’s archery and crossbow deer season opens Saturday.
It runs through January third in most of the state, but continues through January 31st, 2027, in select Metro subunits and Farmland Zone counties. The DNR says deer populations remain strong after three mild winters, pointing to another strong harvest year. Bonus antlerless authorizations remain available in many units. Hunters are urged to prioritize tree-stand safety.
