STURGEON BAY – A 2.9 magnitude earthquake was recorded in Lake Michigan Friday morning.  The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake happened just after 9:00 Friday morning, the epicenter 24 miles east-southeast of Sturgeon Bay at a depth of about 7 miles.  No damage the earthquake was felt 60 miles away.
