MARINETTE - A man and a teenager could be facing charges after the drowning of a 13-year-old boy. Jakob Bowerman passed away on Saturday after being placed on life support at the hospital. His family says he had no brain activity.  Jakob’s mother says he was pushed into the Menominee River off Government Pier Wednesday afternoon by a 16-year-old boy and a 21-year-old man.  Jakob was transported to St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay where he was on life support for several days. He died on Saturday from his injuries. The Marinette Police Department says the two suspects were taken into custody after an investigation and referred to the Marinette County District Attorney’s Office, which will decide whether to file criminal charges. The 13-year-old victim would have turned 14 this Monday.
