VILAS COUNTY - The person killed in a single-car crash on County Highway K at River Lane in Boulder Junction on Friday has been identified. The Vilas County Sheriff’s Office says Gustave (Gus) Holzbauer was one of three people in the vehicle when it rolled over. Holzbauer and another of the three were taken to Howard Young in Woodruff, where Holzbauer was pronounced dead. No other identification of the driver or the other passenger has been made available. The crash remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol and the Vilas County Sheriff’s Office.
