IRONWOOD – Gogebic Community College posting on their Facebook page welcoming their new Electric Line Technician instructor, Jon Ocker, for the fall semester! Ocher’s career began as a Journeyman Lineman working for Marshfield Electric and Water and then at Clark Electric Cooperative, becoming a Stray Voltage Investigator for Clark Electric Cooperative then transitioned from Journeyman linework to teaching and becoming an Electrical Power Distribution Instructor at Chippewa Valley Technical College.  Ocker was born and raised in Fifield in Northern Price County on a 600-acre dairy farm which he now owns raising beef, corn, soybeans and sunflowers and raising heifers for a large dairy production in Ashland, WI.  The Electric Line Technician Program is a one-year certificate program
