ASHLAND - The Ashland Fire Department rescued two people yesterday in Chequamegon Bay, with the help of bystanders.  According to the Ashland Fire Department, two people had to be rescued after they became stuck on their boat about 400 yards from shore.  Bystanders let emergency responders use their kayaks to help bring in one of the stranded people to shore.  Others from the marina and gave two firefighters a ride out on their boat to rescue the other person.  Both victims were okay and were able to go home.  No word on how the two ended up stranded.
