ESCANABA - The Escanaba Department of Public Safety says it responded to reports of a fire in the kitchen of Mo’s Pub yesterday.  The Escanaba DPS says the building is still standing, but its contents are a total loss.  Public Safety says officers made entry and were met with heavy smoke, as well as employees still inside. The employees were escorted to safety as the fire spread to other parts of the building.  Officers say they battled the blaze for several hours before the fire was put out.  The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
