IRONWOOD – Road Construction continues in Ironwood.  McLeod Ave from Curry to Ayer Street will be closed starting today for a lead service line replacement project.  Frenchtown Road will remain closed this week from Penokee Road to Rock Road for watermain reconstruction. Old County Road will remain closed this week from Country Club Road to South Davis Road.  This is for water main reconstruction on Old County Road.  Lowell Street will remain closed this week for completion of utility and paving work.  The city says they hope that have that street reopened by end of this week.  Meanwhile on Ridge and Arch Streets Curb and sidewalk work continues, while Curb work on Ridge Street will be starting this week.  Paving and restoration of these two streets will be complete by the end of August.  Douglas Blvd from US2 to Francis Street will be closed Thursday night during the evening hours to complete sanitary sewer pipe restoration work.
