WAKEFIELD - One hundred and thirty-seven teams competed in 16 brackets at this year’s Gus Macker tournament in Wakefield.  The three-on-three games took place on Sunday Lake with many taking a dip in Sunday Lake between games to beat the heat.  Teams from as far away as Chicago, Minneapolis, and from Downstate Michigan traveled to Wakefield to participate in the tournaments.  The event was sponsored in part by MIX 106.9 and OLDIES 102.9 radio along with roughly 100 volunteers and donations from area businesses.
