MANITOWISH WATERS – There’s now an additional childcare option in Manitowish Waters.  Little Forest School in Manitowish Waters opened on Monday. This new daycare center filled a void after the previous one in town shut down due to lack of funding last October.  Owners say on opening day, 13 kids were cared for at Little Forest. As of right now classes are being held in the Manitowish Waters Community church basement, but when the new facility opens within the next two years, they’ll be able to hold 50 kids ranging from toddlers to school level kids.  Childcare availability has become a rather hot-button issue in rural areas but all across the state of Wisconsin.
