VILAS COUNTY - Eagle River police are investigating the suspected drug overdose death of 46-year-old Sabrina Cross of Lac du Flambeau. Officers responded to a report of an unresponsive person at a residence early morning on the 14th. First responders rendered life-saving aid, but Cross was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say a traffic stop on the 16th led to an arrest in connection with the investigation of her death. The case remains active, and no further details have been released. Police remind residents to call 911 for suspected overdoses and say Narcan is available at the police department.
