LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is inviting public feedback on the draft of the 2026–2029 State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP).  STIP is a federally required planning document that outlines proposed road, bridge, and transit projects scheduled for federal funding.  The draft STIP includes project costs, schedules, and funding sources, allocating $5.6 billion for road and bridge improvements and $2.1 billion for transit and safety projects.  The STIP is expected to receive final approval by Oct. 1.  Public comments will be summarized in the final STIP and will be submitted to the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) for review and approval. We have a link on our website and Facebook page where you can submit your feedback and comments.  https://forms.office.com/pages/responsepage.aspx?id=h3D71Xc3rUKWaoku9HIl0Wq6iC6vcSdMskbJPHJXZ1xUNDFRNVVVRENPNUI2SVJVMUozUzNGRlBCOCQlQCNjPTEu&route=shorturl
