VILAS COUNTY - The Lakeland Area Mountain Biking Organization, or LAMBO, has launched a donation matching campaign to help expand the Sucker Springs Singletrack trail system north of Eagle River. Two local donors have pledged a combined $20,000, matching contributions dollar for dollar through Sept. 15. The nonprofit hopes to grow the trail network from about five miles to as many as 12 miles, with another 3.25 miles set to begin construction this month. LAMBO says the project is being funded entirely through private donations, with no cost to taxpayers.
