N. WISCONSIN / U.P. - Strong thunderstorms pushed through the region yesterday afternoon.  The Thunderstorms knocking our power to areas around Ironwood, Bessemer and Wakefield primarily in the townships.  Those outages affected our broadcast signal for about an hour yesterday. Xcel Energy’s power outage map showing power has been restored to most.  The map still shows some outages on Madaline Island this morning affecting about 50 people.   Hardest hit was Ontonagon County with reports of uprooted trees and a total of 16 calls for service according to the Ontonagon Volunteer Fire Department.
