WASHBURN - A long-planned bike park in Washburn is moving forward with construction of its first phase. The Tamarack Health Trail, a fully accessible multi-use path for walking, running, and cycling, officially broke ground on the 18th. The trail is part of a four-phase recreation project on Omaha Street, supported by a $22,000 donation from Tamarack Health. Organizers say the completed bike park will provide skills features for riders of all levels and help attract visitors to the Chequamegon Bay area.
