IRONWOOD - Sean Bedard-Parker, of Duluth, MN was approved as the new Vice President of Academics at the regular monthly meeting of the Gogebic Community College Board of Trustees.  Bedard-Parker currently serves as the Dean of Social and Behavioral Sciences, Liberal Arts and Applied Design at Century College in White Bear Lake, MN. He will begin his duties on July 14.  Cody Kurta, of Ironwood, was hired as the Campus Suites Manager and Lindquist Student and Conference Center Events Coordinator effective June 23.  The trustees approved the pausing of both the Construction Technology and Mechanical Engineering Technology Programs for the 2025-26 academic year due to low student enrollment and financial restraints.  The trustees approving the increased tuition rate for the next academic year.
