UPPER MICHIGAN - Governor Gretchen Whitmer made several appointments to state boards and commissions on Tuesday, including some people from the U.P.  Peter Torola of Chassell has been appointed to the Michigan Truck Safety Commission. Shawn Borowicz of Saint Ignace has been appointed to the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force and Bryce Tracy of St. Ignace was appointed to the Michigan Public Safety Communications Interoperability Board.
