ONTONAGON - A traffic stop in the Village of Ontonagon has resulted in the arrest of a resident for drug and weapons possession. Ontonagon County Sheriff’s deputies stopped 49-year-old Eric Green last week. A search of his vehicle turned up methamphetamine, ecstasy and weapons. Green was arraigned on Monday on eight charges including felonies, delivery/manufacture of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine/ecstasy and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. He was also charged with five misdemeanors, including use of meth and driving suspended. Green posted a $1,000 bond this past Friday and is set to appear in Ontonagon District Court on the 30th.
