IRONWOOD – Dave Prestin who’s running for State Senate in the 38th District which includes Gogebic and Ontonagon Counties was in Ironwood yesterday along with State Representative for the 110th District Greg Markkanen to talk with residents and business owners about topics that concern them the most.  Prestin says the common thread of concern he’s been hearing from residents is Mental Health, Economic Development, Health Care and U.P. Energy.

Prestin says the U.P. has been hit hard for more than a decade with higher energy rates due to bad policy that is leading to the shutdown of U.P. Natural Gas Production.

Prestin says he has a plan to bring down prices; he says the key to do that is to repeal Public Act 235

Prestin is running for the Senate Seat currently held by Ed McBroom who is term limited and finish his final term.
