UPPER MICHIGAN - Hunters in the will be able to shoot antlerless deer with a bow for the first time since 2015. The Michigan Natural Resources Commission approved changes to the 2025 deer hunting season.  “Doe with a bow” has the support of many groups, including the U.P. Deer Advisory Team.  Archery season will be October 1 to November 14 and December 1 to January 1, 2026.  The Department of Natural Resources eliminated archery season after rough winters in 2013 and 2014 resulted in low deer numbers throughout the U.P.
