N. WISCONSIN -Some campgrounds in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest that typically open the first weekend in May could open as late as May 14 because of cool temperatures and lingering snowpack that delayed seasonal preparation work. The agency said it does not anticipate impacts to existing campground reservations. Reservations can be made through Recreation.gov by searching for “Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest.”
