IRONWOOD – If you think gas prices are bad now they are about to get much worse.  Gas prices have passed their highest average price in four years, according to AAA.  Right now, the National Average is $4.31 and experts say prices at the pump could climb over $5 a gallon in the U.P. in the next few days.  Patrick De Haan of Gas Buddy explaining on X that a refinery outages and maintenance combined with the war in Iran are to blame for the higher prices with the upper mid-west being hit especially hard.  Ironwood prices jumping 32 cents since Monday now at $4.49 a gallon as of this morning.
