IRONWOOD - On Saturday, a number of communities in the U.P. will take part in a nationwide series of protests demanding change in the U.S. government.

“Hands Off!” protests are scheduled for Marquette, Escanaba, Houghton, Ironwood and Sault Ste. Marie. Paul Hughes, co-organizer of Lake Superior Indivisible says that at least 300 people are expected to walk in the Marquette protest. Indivisible is a national organization that says its mission is to elect progressive leaders, rebuild democracy and defeat the current administration’s agenda.
