IRONWOOD - On Saturday, a number of communities in the U.P. will take part in a nationwide series of protests demanding change in the U.S. government.

“Hands Off!” protests are scheduled for Marquette, Escanaba, Houghton, Ironwood and Sault Ste. Marie. Paul Hughes, co-organizer of Lake Superior Indivisible says that at least 300 people are expected to walk in the Marquette protest. Indivisible is a national organization that says its mission is to elect progressive leaders, rebuild democracy and defeat the current administration’s agenda. For more information on where each of these protests will take place and what to expect, go to mobilize.us/map.
