VILAS COUNTY - Snowmobile trails in Iron and Vilas Counties are open once again. Recent heavy snow has prompted the 11 snowmobile clubs in the area along with the county to agree that it is once again safe to open trails to riders. Iron County has announced its trails are open as well. Trails in northern Wisconsin counties are still closed but it is hoped the snow holds and those trails can reopen as well. Some trails in northern Price County will be open through the weekend, from Phillips NE to Solberg Lake, to Pike Lake and west to the Parks Falls area to Butternut Lake.
