BAYFIELD COUNTY - The defense is considering an offer put forth in the murder case of 16-year-old Daniel Wilber. The teen is being charged as an adult with first degree murder in the death of his brother in December of 2024. Wilber contends his brother tried to commit suicide in a wooded area in the town of Keystone, but failed, and he knew his sibling would not have wanted to live and shot him. What the offer put forth was is unknown, but at that hearing, a preliminary trial was not requested. Another hearing in the case is set for April 9th.
