ONTONAGON - Another snowmobile accident this one has claimed the life of a Wisconsin man in Ontonagon County. The Ontonagon County Sheriff’s Office reports a 36-year-old man from Bonduel died after a crash on Trail No. 3 near Federal Forest Road 730 and U.S. 45 in Stannard Township late evening this past Friday. EMS and first responders performed CPR, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Speed and alcohol are thought to be factors in the crash. The victims name has not been released pending notification of family. Ontonagon Sheriff’s deputies were assisted by SONCO South Ambulance Service, the Bruce Crossing Fire Department and Lake Gogebic Towing. The crash remains under investigation.
