IRONWOOD – The Red Bull 400 Race Returns to Copper Peak. An event labeled “The World’s Steepest 400 Meter Race returns to the area this Spring. The Red Bull 400 will once again be run on the slope of Copper Peak on May 10th. The race takes runners up 40 stories on Copper Peak, which bills itself as the largest artificial ski jump tower in the world. The Red Bull 400 is expected to draw over 800 athletes competing for a spot on the winner’s podium and a shot at the world record. This will be there third time Copper Peak hosted the race, the last time being in 2019. The current world record holders for running the Red Bull 400 were set in Switzerland in 2018.
