IRONWOOD - On Friday, AAA of Michigan reports, the state average surpassed the $3 mark, setting a new 2026 high of $3.03 per gallon before retreating to an average of $2.98.  The national average sits five cents lower than Michigan at $2.93 per gallon.  In Upper Michigan, the lowest average is in Baraga County at $2.68 per gallon. The highest is still in Mackinac County at $3.10 per gallon.  Ironwood prices at $2.91 per gallon as of this morning.
