ASHLAND – The Ashland High School ice fishing team headed to the state Ice fishing Tournament in La Crosse.  The team is among the more than 100 competing through the Wisconsin Interscholastic Fishing Association (WIFA) and was brought to Chequamegon Bay in 2017 by a group of friends.  This year’s winner will be selected based on the total inches of fish they catch.  There is a catching limit as each team can only catch ten bluegills, ten crappie, ten perch, five pike, and five bass.  This Saturday the Ashland team will compete against other ice fishing squads from all over the state.
