ODANAH - A man from Odanah has been sentenced on burglary and theft charges after pleading no contest. Kaleb Julian, 37, will spend six months in jail and serve two years probation. A dozen similar charges were dismissed but read into the court record. Julian took money from his employers at Blue Ribbon Kennels in Ashland. The owners said they knew Julian had issues in his past and wanted to give him another chance to straighten out his life. Judge Anthony Stella said he had a hard time sentencing someone with an addiction as the addiction is a crime against themselves.
