ASHLAND COUNTY – The Ashland County Sheriff’s Office is warning of another phone scam.  Someone posing as Sergeant David Wayne from the Sheriff's Office is making calls telling the caller that they missed jury duty, then claiming you have arrest warrants as a result.  They then instruct victims to pay at self-service kiosks to avoid arrest. The Sheriff’s Office DOES NOT make such calls and DO NOT share personal info or make payments to someone you don’t know that calls you.  If you're unsure, hang up and verify by calling the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office directly on their non-emergency phone number.
