MERCER - Work continues on the Mercer Public Library’s $150,000 renovation. On the 24th, the library will closed and starting on the 27th through January 4th, the contents of the building will be packed and moved out to allow for construction. Volunteers are needed to help with the move, drop-in help is welcome, and there is a list of dates and times help is needed on the library’s Facebook page. After the move, staff operate out of the Mercer Senior Center (Mondays and Fridays, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.) and the Mercer Town Hall (Wednesdays, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.). Patrons can still check out/return items and access 29 other library collections via the Northern Waters Library System. Reopening is planned for late February.
