IRONWOOD - The Ironwood Area Schools Board of Education agrees to updating its fleet of aging school buses with a $206,000 purchase of two three-year-old used buses.

The vehicles, acquired from Nelson Bus Service Inc., are intended to replace two of the district’s oldest buses. This proactive replacement strategy is expected to yield considerable savings for the school district, as the older buses replaced required significant time in the shop for maintenance.
