HURLEY - Members of the Finance Committee of the Iron County Board of Supervisors agreed to a special meeting at the beginning of next month to discuss in what form a wage and benefit study of county employees would take. Suggestions of which counties to compare to and why they should be included were made and whether to direct prospective consulting firms to only look at other counties in the state or to look at neighboring states as well. The committee already has 55 county job descriptions to examine, some of which could be combined. The extra meeting in January will further that discussion.
