IRONWOOD - Steven Kopf, of Ironwood, was selected as the new Nursing instructor at Gogebic Community College in Ironwood. He currently serves as a clinical instructor for the nursing program at GCC. Kopf currently works as a Flight Nurse/Paramedic with Guardian Flight.  He will begin his duties in January.  An open house is planned for Tuesday, January 20 from 3-5pm CST for the public to view the college’s newly renovated Nursing lab and classrooms on the third floor of the Rutger Erickson Academic Building on the GCC Campus in Ironwood.  GCC will be closed December 24, 2025 – January 1, 2026. This includes the Lindquist Student and Conference Center, walking track and gymnasium. The Spring semester begins on Monday, January 12, 2026.
